I've done some research and I've something that is I hope applicable to this discussion. In his translation of "1001 Arabian Nights", Sir Richard Burton (not the actor) has a section of the introduction (usually left out) concerning boylove. His interpretation is that it was a result of climate! He details what he calls "the Sotadic Zone" encircling the world. Hence, he would say that it is not a question of race, but geography, enlarging and shrinking, depending on the areas affected by the climate for boy love. What he would say about the modern world, as well as the boy love in areas beyond the zone--which he denies--I have no idea. But, boy love is found all over and according to Burton, is due to climate. I just realized that I've gone into my "Professor" mode, so I better stop before this post gets outof hand. |
