I can't help you with any suggestions on how to curb your obsession, but I thought it might help to know others have gone thru that also, including myself. I was obsessed with a famous younster as opposed to a rw YF. So I couldn't even be around him to get a little happiness. I bought everything I could get my hands on that had anything written about him. I searched the internet for stories and pictures of him. I even bought those inane teen magazines to get some pictures. I knew I was being ridiculous, since I had zero chance of even meeting him, but that didn't stop my obsessing over him. The only thing that helped at all was praying about it. I know that may sound overly simple, and it didn't help completely, but it did help me cope. Eventually, the obsession eased. Maybe it was the prayer, but it didn't happen overnight. And I must admit I still have a soft spot in my heart for that kid. But I know from first hand experience that obsessions are no fun.
