This may not work for everybody--indeed maybe not for anybody--but it works for me. I allow the analytical part of my mind take over (it likes to do this quite a bit)and try to figure out why I'm so attracted to this boy or that one. And I don't mean something as shallow as "It's his eyes" but the psychological mechanics of why I'm in love with him and not so much with another, in an attempt to figure out why I'm attracted to any boy in the first place. Basically, I switch the obsession from idolixation of the boy to an obsession of the why. But that's just me. Whether it'll worj for you or not, I don't know. |
