| rather than just 'thinking' about him, try and use your enthusiasm for him as a source of energy to pray for him. 'Thank you Lord for ... for the way he .... ' etc. That helps put it into into an appropriate context; turning it towards prayer for him 'Bless his relationship with his mum....' means that it may even be constructive. And certainly it helps keeps my thought life from wandering into unhelpful areas; the line of prayer 'Please God, have him invite me to have sex with him' serves as a useful reality check... |
