Dear damien, You are most welcome. I’m glad that I can be of some encouragement to you and others as I have received a great deal of this from you and others since I came to this board not so long ago. Funny that I don’t feel all that strong or mature, but the opposite in fact. But then, Paul’s comments come to mind: But he [the Lord] said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 By contemporary definitions, I too am not an ‘average Christian’ and hold to what many consider a ‘weird idea’ – that being the acceptance of my BL orientation as normal and healthy. Perhaps I am wrong in my beliefs, but I hold firmly that while the basics are not negotiable, there is room for diversity in other areas (BL among them) within the body of Christ. As such, I see no reason to discuss some of the peripheral issues I may (or may not) have about your e-mail unless you have some direct issues you’d like my feedback on. I’d be more than happy to explore with you any issue that might be on your mind. Take care and God bless, J |
