It is tough for those who have been involved in black magick to get out of it, even when they really want to get away from it. I had a girlfriend who was once a satanist, then turned Christian, but the "other" power was already too easy for her -- she had used it so often, and instead of putting her full faith in Jesus, she gave in and used that "other" power again, and she fell hard. (I'm not talking about psychic stuff either. She [they] was doing crazy stuff!!) I broke up with her at the time, and then she went her own way. I guess she's doing okay now and has come back to Jesus. But when I knew her, I thought she was a very strong Christian -- she knew the Bible inside and out (higher-level satanists are trained this way) and she witnessed some awesome manifestations of the Holy Spirit, as did I. But still she wanted to know and do things that the Lord didn't want her to know or do, so she tapped into that "other" power to do things her own way, and it soon became a part of her and drew her back into it, away from Jesus. We certainly don't need things like Harry Potter to entice kids into seeking this "other" power. I don't believe we should rise up and fight against such things -- this world will ALWAYS have these things... what will it be next? And why waste our energy on each ungodly thing that comes along? That's also a trick of the devil. Instead, we need to take care of our own (those near us) and teach and guide them in the right way (Prov 22:6).
