tigris, i feel your pain, and thanks for being so open in expressing your confusion. I know how these relationships can become so important, and the lengths i have gone to to preserve them. Sometimes it helps me to step back and to try and to be rational about the whole thing, that is to give myself the advice that i would give someone else in the same situation. I see that you need to think hey! what's best not just for me or the boy, but for everyone concerned? It may be that God is allowing you to back off and have that break you both need before the whole relationship gets downright unhealthy! I think that applies in any sort of relationship. I hope you can make sense of my ramblings! Trust me, I have been where you are, moved on and survived. Trust God and put Him first, and everything, including your feelings (the "full heart" and the fear of losing something so precious) will all fall into place, one day at a time. I have felt myself mature, and be able to handle these relationships more effectively and in a more healthy manner than in the past. As God helps you to become more confident in yourself you seem to need less of these obsessive relationships.
