Hi J,

Thank you so much for your comprehensive reply to so many of my posts. I hope I will be able to create a reply to do it justice.

J, I have to say this and I hope I say it the way I feel it. I have been just so impressed with the knowlege you, Splash!, and other's have of God's Word. Actually, knowlege and insight. My friend Andy introduced me to the concept of studying the Bible by "types and shadows" and I have just loved this kind of study ever since then. But I think you have found so much more than I could have dreamed possible. I love that...and it made me think of something. A question if you will...

One of my habits in Christian Theological thinking or meditation is to always try to ask the simple question,"Why?". I just had to try this after hearing about all the things you and Splash! uncovered in the Old Testiment. "Why did God create such a mind-bogglingly complicated series of events in O.T. times to be a shadow of things to occur much latter in the time of Jesus Christ?" Indeed, it IS mind-boggling when you consider the fact that He had to do all of this within the history of a being which He had given the gift of choice. Well, ok, I know that God has no restraints as far as time is concerned, but even still, what an enormous undertaking. And for what? So that people like us, who live thousands of years after Christ, can find it and make a corrilation? Absolutely!!! Yes and Amen!!!

You know, I believe the greatest central theme of the Bible is that it is, after all, THE greatest revelation of God to man! And through-out this wonderfully lenghty and rich revelation I have seen His love for us, time and time again. Anywhere I look, to tell you the truth. And to me, this terrific study in the O.T. types and shadows of Jesus Christ you have been doing is yet another great example of His love! Yes indeed..."For God so loved the world...." Amen! I'll tell you what, If my hunch is right, I'll bet your study will probably never end, J, because the more I study the Word, the more it begins to resemble an onion. You know, because just like an union, you peel off one layer only to find yet another one underneath. Only, I'' bet that with this "onion", noone will be able to find the last layer...not in this lifetime, anyway.

Ok, enough of that for now...

About your ideas about matrimony, legal and holy... I would have to agree with you about the points you make about the legal aspects of it. Indeed, if the laws of our land were to permit Man/Man marraige or (oh boy...) Man/Boy marraige, all would probably go well with it if both party's were commited to one another strongly. However, I'm afraid I cannot see how God would permit such a marraige. I will be going back and reading everything I can in the Word to see if I have miss-read something or misunderstood something, ok, so give me some time to do a little more studying of my own. I really have never considered this kind of a study very high on my priority "list" because I am a committed celibate Christian anyway, and I have really never seen much of a need to study any further on it. But give me some time and I will get back with you with whatever I find out.

Anyway, I have to go for now and I hope I remembered to answer everything you asked me about. Hey, I too wish to thank you as well!!! I cannot tell you how much it blesses my heart when I can see a person come in here with problems like you have had and just show us all so greatly what our Father is cappable of doing in the lives of His children! You sound so much better, J, than when you first came here! God has blessed you very much indeed. And, you know, although it is so sad about the awful things that happened with you and your Y.F., at least some good DID come out of it, like all of us who have suffered problems like that, you LEARNED!!! And one of the greatest truths you have learned, indeed we ALL have learned, is that our God, our Father, is so good and so kind and so very, very loving towards us...even in our darkest hours!

Merry Christmas to you as well my friend and Brother in Christ!
Love,
Chris
