I hope you don't mind me relying to your reply to Ben. One of the hardest things to do in this life is to watch someone you love make wrong choices. It's much harder than if you were making the wrong choices yourself and having to deal with the ramifications of those choices. When I've been in that situation, I've wanted to somehow project my life experiences into their brains so they can see that their choices are wrong. And if I can't do that, I want to physically prevent them from walking down the wrong path that I KNOW will hurt them later. But we can't do that, can we? We can only guide them. The ultimate choice is theirs. And that's really the way it should be.

In your post, you said that no one cares about him making wrong choices. You're wrong. You care and are praying for him. And most importantly, God cares. A praying believer and a caring God is an awesome combination. That combination has defeated armies, conquered cities, and it can also save a boy. I think in time, he will realize that Christianity isn't about a bunch of rules. It's about a personal relationship with the creator of the universe. To use a term that was popular in the 60s, that's heavy. But remember that God does things in His time, not ours. So don't be discouraged if your prayers don't yield any improvement right away. Just keep praying for him and keep loving him.
