Hi Brothers, I cannot believe how wonderfully blessed I am to be able to call myself your brother in Christ, or even just to know that I have such friends and brothers in the world! I wish I could read everything you write in here in greater depth but time only allows me to skim through most of it. I want you both to know that, for me, this Christmas has become a greater blessing than I had anticipated. It is the first one I have had to spend as an out-cast from the people I have always held most dear in my heart, my family. That is, except for my dad who is now writting to me and with whom I believe I have a renewed relationship, praise God! I was doing pretty good up until I had to work at the store on Christmas Eve. I guess I heard "Merry Christmas" just one too many times that day, and of course the music always gets to me. But then, my Pastor walked into the store and invited me again to the special Christmas program that would be held 11:00 that evening. He also gave me a gift which is so very special. So I went! It was beyond a doubt one of the most moving Christmas services I have ever attended! I now know that I am very fortunate to have such a loving friend as my Pastor and that the community in which I live is just full of beautiful and artistic people. Oh, the differant kinds of music were just great and they ranged from traditional to contemporary rock in form. And the Pastor got up and read a beautiful, tear-jerker of a story. It was just wonderful and although I normally pretty much sit by myself, I did not at all feel in the least bit alone. Our Father is awsome in His great loving kindness. This was one of the best Christmases I have ever had in spite of everything that has happened to me this year. I wanted to share that with you and everyone else too. Indeed....Glory to God in The Highest and Peace to His People on Earth!!! In Christ's Love, Chris |
