I was married...Once. And I told her about my present feelings and past actions--in vague terms. Not only did she never in the 12 years of our marriage forget, she constantly used what I had told her. Indeed, she still uses it years after the divorce. Perhaps she felt inadequate and needed to be in control and used the information to gain this control. If I had known then what I knew later in the marriage, I would have kept my mouth shut about my past and present (at the time of the marriage). At the same time, marriage involves intimacy and withholding some information could result in a lack of such intimacy, especially what inhibits you from being sexually intimate with her, an essential in marriage. You know the Girl better than anyone else here. How much can she handle? Would she use any of your information against you later, even while planning to stay married to you? |
