I think a lot of us do that already... fantasize. But we are reminded over and over again in the Bible to be in control of our thought life. Also, Jesus mentioned that if we do things in our mind/heart, we are as guilty as doing it for real. Even with the dreams I don't control -- I feel guilty if I've done something sinful in them. When a pretty boy appears in my dreams, I usually can't get him out of my mind for several days (even though I never really met him). I had a dream about a celebrity boy the other night (we were just hanging out, playing basketball, swimming, talking, etc) and over the next few days I kept thinking about the things we did in the dream and the things he said to me -- it felt real. I fear lucid dreaming would make me even more obsessed. I don't know... I have a hard enough time controlling my thought life without encouraging certain role-playing in lucid dreams. For me, that's not a direction I should go. Splash |
