I'm not really into dream interpretation, but I think one thing is significant. In your dream, you were seeing it from the perspective of the guy who was trying to save the kids. So if the assassin was indeed another side of you, you can take comfort in the fact that it isn't the dominant side. Your dominant side was trying to help the kids.
