Gentle Giant, I guess it's hard to recommend a city when I don't know where you are (nor do I suggest that you publicize it). Going out into the gay community may not be the answer for you. I do not necessarily think that the gay community is open minded. I think that they have bent God's standard around what they are faced with and I don't think that Jesus died for this purpose. We need to accept who we are and to understand that we, as humans, are weak and need God's grace. The gay community has all but given up on God, having created their own Gods instead. Please don't give up on God. I think that the key is to find good caring people. For the moment, sharing your story specifically might not be the best help. In that people don't understand BL well, most people don't know how to react and so react wrong. Sometimes being vague is the best solution. Find a place where you have access to the net so that you can talk here, and post. Maybe some of the guys here are on IRC and can chat in real time. I can tell you this. The weekend that I was planning to kill myself, another BL on IRC pushed me to give him my phone number. Within an hour he was on his way to come to see me, a six hour drive. I was astounded that someone who didn't know me or know to trust me would do that. I told him that I wouldn't do anything this weekend. We met in real life the next weekend and he became my most trusted friend in the world. Things WILL get better. I promise. But don't give up on God....just trust him that he had led you to the right place, a place of hope. I am still praying for you. You are NOT alone. Love, Ben |
