My experience, for what it's worth, is that many parents want to try to discourage their children from being pests and hanging all over other adults. They may just think that they are doing you a favor by asking the kids not to sit on you. I have also found that, while some adults may not mind it, other adults do mind if kids hang on them. It's easier for parents sometimes to teach their kids just not to hang on people in general. tigris |
