Welcome Simon,

I agree that there's no absolute moral argument against consensual sex between an adult and an early teen. But there some are relative reasons that most folk here would agree with.

- The teen may decide later in life that they didn't really know what they were doing, and regret it. They may even feel that they were pursuaded to give 'consent' when if they had known more about the adult world, they wouldn't have.

- Society objects to sex between an adult and an early teen, and for this reason alone it's going to be tough for a teen growing up knowing they've been involved in something that most people don't approve of. Plus they might get drawn into the legal process if the adult is charged with the 'crime', which can only harm the teen.

These are a couple of reasons why most people say it's not a good idea.

But I agree there's no absolute reason. There are places in the world where it's quite normal for men to have sex with boys as part of the boys' initiation into manhood, and in this context where it's normal it doesn't seem to do any psychological harm.

As for the existence of 'God', of course no-one can prove it, but if there is some kind of supernatural cosmic entity, as you put it, then the best chance we've got of finding out what this entity is like is by listening to the 'inspired' people of history. I happen to believe that the most believable impression of what this entity is like is the compassionate life of Jesus of Nazareth (c. 4 BCE - 29 CE). He called that entity his parent, and I think that's quite a helpful metaphor.

With love,

Jules
