No, I don't think that you are a complete idiot, but I do think that you jumped into a discussion that was not at all what you took it for. First, forgiven calls us outcasts and compares us to the sinners Jesus kept company with Actually, Forgiven called us all outcasts - all boylovers. Then the reference to Jesus eating with sinners is a slap at us Christians for staying tucked away in our own safe little controlled space and being afraid to venture out and hold discussions with people who could misunderstand us, verbally abuse us, and generally be disagreeable. You see, Jesus set an example for us by hanging with regular folk all the time. And we are constantly forgetting to do it ourselves. Its just easier to huddle up together and leave the real world outside. So, Forgiven was taking a shot at us for being pansies. I can see how you took it personally, but I think you had to stretch some to get there. I should be the one taking it personally! Now then. About Christians being self-righteous and judgemental, I can agree with you there. I could tell you some stories from personal experience!
