"I don't think being a homosexual is a sin. I don't know of anyone here that does. No where in the Bible does it state that a person's sexual orientation is a sin. But it does, however, state in several places that having sex with one's onw gender is wrong and that sex outside of marriage is wrong. I would really prefer to take a more liberal view, but God didn't check with me before He inspired the Bible. So I have to believe that in God's "perfect" will, a homosexual should remain celibate."

I know the argument very very well, so this isn't anything new to me. :)

What I've almost given up on is trying to interpret the biblical passages that supposedly do or do not condem homosexual "acts". There's people that believe contradictory to your beliefs seemed to be just as convinced as you that their interpreation is correct.

Cop out? Maybe, but all I can do right now is hold a close relationship with God. What I'm seeing though is that I've fallen in love with other males of similar age. ROMANTIC love, and it never felt wrong. It felt quite right actually. And to argue that intimacy, even of a sexual kind, is somehow not interlinked with love would be foolish.

So no, as I told Bach, I don't have all the answers. But I'm on a journey, and at this point in time I'm not willing to accept a view, that to me, comes off as supremely cold, regardless of how you or others intend it.
