And the reason is that Christianity is very, very powerful politically. Christians typically assume that their moral values must apply to everyone (as has been aptly demonstrated here lately) and they don't hesitate to looby to make their views law. As to not convincing anyone, no it seems like the participants here have become rather ultra consersative. I remember having discussions in the past where many reasonable people would kick in and we could talk and share concerns without them inisisting on preaching at me or insisting that their views must apply to me. It seems this place has been taken over by fundamentalists. |
