tigris - Well you have brought back some memories for me too. I began working with kids at summer camp virtually from the time I was old enough to. Perhaps its because I went to camp myself as a kid, so camp was a natural place to be. In fact, much of my attraction to boys began at summer camp. Being around all of those boys all of the time, rarely dressed in more than a pair of shorts and occasionally footwear....definately gave me fertile material for fantasy. Like you, I was the counselor that all of the kids wanted to be around. I have always been highly valued by where ever I have worked. BL has afforded you a special heart for boys which makes you a more devoted, committed, hard working counselor than most others. Good for you for finding that. I miss my camp days terribly. In fact, every summer I sit in my office looking out the window, thinking about camp. I so know the feeling of being really really good at something. I have resented the fact that I can't possibly be as good at my job as I was at camp (or in any other situation working with children). This is not an addiction, tigris, it is the fire that God gives all of us for our passions in life. There may be an addictive quality to the feelings that you get around boys, which drown out the loneliness, but don't think that being addicted to being good at something should be second guessed. For me, somewhere along the way I also did learn to form friendships with my peers and I do work well with adults. I am not nearly as motivated to do so, but I can do it. Thanks for the memories.
