hopesalive, you have a peer here. For I am also 21. :-) I'm a student in a university. College is a lot different from high school, I've noticed. Okay, everyone knows that, but there's one more reason why college feels a lot different to me. It's that there are very few kids in college; everyone is 18 or above. I do see kids at church and at a youth service I help out in, but compared with high school or middle school I see a lot less kids everyday. In some ways I like it more like this. How come? Whenever I see kids, especially the cute ones, my heart breaks and I feel on the top of the world. I could watch them forever. And that sometimes causes problems, because it detracts me and makes me look weird. It has happened more than once that a friend has remarked, "why do you keep looking at that kid?" With fewer kids around in college, I act more or less normally. :-)

I'm very happy for you that you have this one special boy that you really love. Enjoy the friendship as much as you can. As Ben said, boylove is a "true tragedy" in the sense that the love cannot last, at least when they are in the "perfect age". Unfortunately, I do not have a YF like you or the others do. I hope I will in the future though!

Remember, God loves you always.

Genghis
