I get your point, Splash, I would rather watch Casablanca than "Dude, Where's my Car?" any day, but I don't think it takes much immaturity to watch Schindler's List. I know that's being a little unfair to your point, but there is a lot of things that I wouldn't want little kids seeing that are actually excellent films (works of art even.)

It's when something is profane or obcene just for the sake of being profane and obcene. It's when they make a film offensive just because offending people makes money, that's where I draw the line.

Schindler's List had violence, bad language and nudity, all the classic elements of a rated R movie, but it was so heartfelt and emotionally mature it it brought me to tears quite a few times, something which I very very rarely do.

I'm just saying that excluding everything not fit for children can mean you miss a lot of great things. :)
