An exciting prospect!

Hi guys, just thoght I would share with you something nice. I mentioned to my brother on the phone that I was planning a trip overseas during the middle of the year for three weeks. My young nephew rang back 5 min later asking if he could come, his parents would pay. I confirmed this with them, and discussed the practicalities, and it looks viable! I am great buddies with my nephew, and see him (as do all the family) as myself in miniature! This will be a great opportunity to minister to him and to share my faith with him, the faith that has held my life together and given me the means to lead a full and successful life in the face of the insecurities that he seems to share! It will also make the trip a special experience, giving someone to share the experience with and me the excuse to do "kids stuff" and have a bit of fun on the way. He's just at that really great age where wonder and innocence combine with sufficient maturity to make an excellent companion. (He'll turn 10 just before we go) A child is also a great social faciltator, giving the traveller more opportunities to meet all sorts of interesting people than just being alone. I feel quite excited about the trip now, and was touched to hear that he was so excited when I agreed to take him he couldn't eat his dinner! Anyway, that's all from me for now.
