Dear Bach,

I do not think I have ever heard you speak so eloquently. Although I read instead of heard.

You know, for a little over a year now I have been "out" to a lot more people than I would have ever thought I could be comfortable with that kind of knowlege about me. Some of these people were actually not comfortable with it either, like my P.O. who at first felt that no 9 to 13 year old boy would be safe with me walking the streets. It took some time but now people like that have had a chance to see Christ in me and in my life. They have, for the most part, changed thier mind about me.

The Christian life is not only a concept or collection of rules to follow, it is a journey and a life to live. What we have here with this forum is an extension of that life, a means for us to share our faith with one another. I too believe it is God-given because for now it is pretty much the only means we have. In other words, God has found a way for us to have that which we could not have in the physical world. I cannot help but think this must make Him more than a little sad or even angry at the rest of His children who refuse to accept us as brothers.

For me, this forum has become one of the most important chapters of my life. And I see God at work here! I call the people who come here my brothers (and sometimes we get a "sister" as well...) and I mean it with my heart. Now it has taken on an even greater meaning for me because as far as I know I have lost two brothers, my own family, perhaps for good. I have, however, regained and have an even stronger relationship with my own father (not my heavenly father, the other one...) and in a few ways I have this forum to thank for that as well, if only for keeping me from taking my own life durring a very difficult and trying year.

So, to be perfectly honest with you, Bach and anyone reading this, I personally do not care how people like those who are a part of ministries like Focus on the Family think of us. They are wrong and our Father will correct thier thinking in time anyway. If we are commited to live our lives as children of God, doing His will, spreading His Gospel of forgiveness and peace, we will all be amazed at the result. We do not need to be afraid of how the rest of the family of God feels about us if we are faithful in doing His will. And His will is mostly about the developement of the fruits of His Holy Spirit as read in Galations 5, fruits like love, forgiveness, etc... We cannot go wrong by doing this.

Thank you, Bach, that was a blessing to read! God Bless You as well!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
