Here are links to webpages about a rather amazing singer and the amazing singing group he is part of. His name is Liam O'Kane, a member of Libera. Libera started out as a traditional English church boychoir, but has now put out some CDs that are like nothing I've heard before. The style is sort of a combination of classical boychoir music (in Latin) with a contemporary new age/rock sound (with English lyrics mixed in). Such a refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill show business boy-bands and boy-singer-idols (my apologies to fans of Aaron Carter et al.). At the Liam O'Kane page, there are some sound clips and videos you can download; click on the "Multimedia" link to get to them. I *very* highly recommend the "Salva Me" video (original version, not Version 2); the song is fantastic and the video has some close ups of Liam singing - his facial expression and voice are incredible. Click on the "Discography" link to see the CD's that Liam and the group have made. I found the two Libera CD's at a Border's bookstore, and bought the first one. I find the music to be very haunting and I enjoy almost every song on it. Go to the Libera page at Warner Classics for information about the second Libera CD, and for a biography of the group, which in itself is quite interesting.
