I've had 2 YFs that I was close to. One had a mother who got mad at me and wouldn't let her son hang around me anymore. This had nothing to do with her suspecting me of anything inapropriate. She had 3 sons from 3 different fathers and was basically living off of child support from 2 fathers and some kind of social security payments because my YF's father had died. I mentioned to the boy one day that she should get a job and put that SS money away for his college. He mentioned this to his mother and, well, you can guess the rest. They eventually moved out of state and I lost all contact.

My other YF also liked to cuddle (actually they both did) even up to 14 years old. Of course he also had this macho image to maintain, so affection was only allowed in private, lol. He has since grown up, married, and moved out of town. I still loved him when he was grown but wasn't attracted to him anymore. We had a talk once he was in his later teens where I told him about my attraction. I thought he had a right to know when I felt he was old enough to understand. He told me he figured that out not too long after we became friends, and never had a problem with it. In fact he said he enjoyed being able to drop his macho image and show and be shown affection. There came a time when he wanted less physical affection, but during those "in between years" when he wasn't a boy but wasn't a man either, he appreciated being able to get the cuddling that the boy part of him still needed.
