Greetings in Jesus' Name! My brothers in Christ here in this forum have inspired me to write. To Bach, Splash, Andy, J, Nash, and quite literally everyone here, I have been thinking of this all morning long and I dedicate it to my brothers who are my inspiration and partners in this journey to glory! I truly love you all! "Teacher", said John,"we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us." "Do not stop him", Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward." Mark 9:38-41 I have never been so wrong as I have been just lately. I must confess that in my excitement and zeal to stand up for what I believe in, that we who come together here are children of God regardless of how any of God's other children feel about us. And that we are so often put out and feel demoralised by the rest of the Body of Christ on earth. I have to confess that instead of doing the right thing, I have often done the wrong thing entirely. That passage from Mark which I quoted is for ALL Christians to follow. It is a guide for everyone who is part of the true vine. That is because we trully ARE all part of the true vine which is Christ. Anyone who produces the fruit of God's Spirit, the fruit of love and everything that His love encompasses is part of the vine. Part of one family with God as Father. Jesus himself knew there would come in time many differant kinds of branches and all of them would be equally a part of His body as it would come to be attatched to the vine. Some of whom many of the other branches would not think possable. Once a "branch" becomes a part of the main vine, Jesus Christ, it can be seen as such by the fruit it produces. It can only produce the fruit of God's Spirit. We MUST strive to see the kind of fruit that a branch produces in order to know if it is of God or of the world. That fruit will always be love of the heart, even though it comes in all kinds of differant shapes and sizes. That fruit is here with us and it is "out there" with all of "them". "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Give ear and come to me; hear me that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. See, I have made a witness to the peoples, a leader and a commander of the peoples. SURELY YOU WILL SUMMON NATIONS YOU KNOW NOT, AND NATIONS THAT DO NOT KNOW YOU WILL HASTEN TO YOU, Because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for He has endowed you with splendor. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on Him while He is near." Isiah 55:1 and 3-6 God is very near to us. And to our brothers who are all around us in this world.
