Hi frank, I was preparing dinner while I was reponding to you last night and that's why I was a bit distracted. You see, I didn't look closely enough to know whether you would appreciate the Chrisitian greeting or not... If you've read my posts here to nonChristians and elsewhere on other boards you will see that I do adjust my final salutation according to what I expect the reader will see as appropriate. Nonetheless, I do usually end with "Peace of Christ" here at CBF, given that its a Christian-oriented board. when did participants vote on your assertion that they want and need paternal moderation? Well, its obvious to me that you are voting for no moderation. This board was created because BLs wanted a place "more moderated" than BoyChat and Religious Debate Chat. They wanted a safe, supportive atmosphere which can only occur with moderation. If you have read the recent flame wars with A.I. Watcher, you will note that this policy is not absolute. But as caretaker of this forum, I have a responsibility to moderate it to the expectations of its participants. Perhaps if you were a "regular", you might influence things in the direction you are seeking. When I was Webmaster at Crossroads pretty much anything was the general rule. Even then, however, illegal content was a no-no. If you have looked into hosting a www page, you would find that most commercial hosting agreements require the person in charge to keep illegal content off the server. thanks for allowing this terse debate to appear, anyway. there's a chink of light in your authoritarianism. Again, I can see that you have a bone to pick, but that you don't really know me or my style. I have nothing against debating policy here. Take a poll of the regulars and see if you can get a vision for a new moderation policy. The recent A.I. Watcher debates made it seem like some posters wanted to allow all flames, except then there were others that were upset that the peaceful atmosphere they were seeking here was disrupted. There are many other places on the net to find pics, have debates and generally be distruptive. I don't know many places like CBF...
