one would have to be secretly kinky to dream up and preside over some of these intrusive and bizarre therapies.

it'd be amusing to wire up some sex experts to plethysmographs and see how they respond to pedo-pix.

i've dined at the table of hans and sybil eysenck.

and met him several times at the institute of psychiatry in london [i wasn't there as a patient].

he was intelligent and personable so i'm surprisd he was apparently in favour of curing homosexuals.

especially given his jewish background - he ought to have been alert to the danger of stigmatising those who are different.

i suppose in the 1960s it wasn't unusual for clinicians to regard homosexuality as suitable for treatment.

i recall, hans went through an intense BF Skinner phase.

skinner, a maverick american psychologist, advocated operant conditioning .

using rats in a box as the model, he showed how human behaviour could be altered and modified using reward and punishment.

hans was a controversialist - claiming that IQ was ethnically linked, that smoking and lung cancer were not caually connected etc.

i think his son michael went into the aame line of business - tho' i don't know if he upholds his dad's views.

chemical castration used to be the treatment of staff choice for sexually deviant offenders at britain's maximum security loony-bins.

i thought it had fallen into disrepute owing to side effects - men growing breasts etc

perhaps they've refined the treatment and it's coming back into favour - to accord with public pedo-hysteria.
