aaccording to a television review in tonite's london evening standard : "there is no possibility of a long-term relationship because they [paedophiles] only like the boys at a certain age - they're pretty for a fleeting moment, then it's gone. "this sounds to me [pete clark - the reviewer] like a recipe for terrible sadness and one not worthy of a witch hunt". mr clark was reviewing a tv programme about disgraced pop mogul jonathan king who recently received 7 years imprisonment for consensual relationships with teen boys committed 30 years ago. mr clark's review is sympathetic. he writes how galling it must be to have 30-year old sexual indiscretions dug up just in time to feed a national paranoia over paedophilia. shall i write a letter to the standard contesting clark's view that paedosexual relationship are necessarily shortlived? how shall i word it? |
