lunteer a comment : why does the media always emphasise the promiximity of schools to ^tracked down^ paedophiles? it must be an extremely small minority of paedophiles whose modus operandi conforms to a stereotype of shabbily attired men furtively lurking in the vicinity of schools. but here we go again : from the mail on sunday (uk) - feb 10. sex attack priest gets free flat. the roman catholic church has given a former priest convicted of a string of sexual assaults on young boys free use of a flat it owns following his release from prison. father michael hill was freed 14 months ago after serving three years. BBC radio 4's today programme tracked hill down to the £100,000 [$200,000] flat in the south of englnd, three minutes walk from a primary school. the bishop in whose diocese hill is living told today that the church still had a responsibility towards him. the bishop said ;"we don't want to wash our hands and say it is none of our business now. he has got to be properly supervised and this, we thought, would be the best way to co-operate with that supervision. |
