Dear frank, Thanks for responding and especially for the effort in typing it all out again when your first attempt wound up buried in old posts. What I wouldn't give to have been with you in the cold, amidst the seething mob of teen boys and girls waiting to see Haley Joel at the London premiere of A.I. Wow, a brief glance of his eye! If I had been so priveleged, I may have fainted! One of my favorite scenes in 'Pay It Forward' is where Trevor is watching wrestling and going completely bonkers. In the DVD director's commentary, Mimi Leder states how she just brought in the bean bag, put on the wrestling and let Haley be Haley - it's a rare but wonderful side of him just being your regular, everyday, rambunctious little boy. Reminds me of when my young friend and I would go nuts having fun wrestling with one another - God, I miss him so much... I don't consider your comments from a non-Christian perspective to be presumptuous at all and I thank you for them. I reconciled being a Christian pedophile long ago, but alas, as you point out, integrating such a reconciliation within the framework of a hostile body of non-BL believers often leaves me depressed and in quite a 'morbid' predicament as an outcast. Aside from momentary lapses where I consider 'what if', I have no desire to be affiliated with any particular Christian denomination. They can all go fuck themselves for all I care - though it was hard, I learned to distinguish some time ago between God and those who very poorly represent Him here on this earth. God is awesome; the Church (myself included, even though I'm an appendix of sorts) has a long way to go... With that said, there are some very loving non-BL Christians that I know (sort of) that I don't lump together with the ones above. I'm also asking God to help me reach a point in my life where I can forgive all the Christians who've hurt me. I don't like having this hatred I feel for most Christians - I want to be at peace.
