America shouldn't have NEEDED to seek freedom from oppressive taxes and military oppression. But it happened. But screwballs 2,500 miles away who thought the colonies needed to be taxed made revolution a necessity. Thing is, we are not borg. We are not all wired the same. We are all autonomous independant thinking people. The rather unfortunate side effect of the is that no everyone agrees with your viewpoint. It's a fact of life. The way towards acceptance from people like me (because I'm such an intolerant person) is not, in this case, a violent revolution, as it was with the American colonies (unless of course you want to start some sort of sexual jihad) The way towards acceptance is through intelligent discussion and persuasion. |
