"Anyone who goes ahead and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting, for he who greets him shares his wicked."

The blatant denial by Muslims of the doctrine of Christ - the incarnation - leaves no wriggle room in applying this instruction to them when they choose to claim that their god is our God. No, it's not fashionable - but I prefer to obey apostolic instructions to playing the game.

It's an interesting debate whether which of Mohammed or Hitler will have done the most damage when Jesus finally judges the world. Although Hitler was extremely evil, his impact was merely to kill the bodies of a lot of people; by contrast Islam has deceived millions down the centuries causing them to reject the gospel for a lie.

Remember what I've said before:
"We will be surprised by who gets to heaven, and who doesn't. I have no doubt that many from a non-Christian background who have realised their total dependence on God will be there, and many 'Christians' who slipped into thinking they were doing OK and didn't need God anymore will lose out"

and I have great hopes that in practice many Muslims will be found to have cast themselves on the mercy of God, and will be found among us on the last day. But to present another gospel and expect to be accepted as worshipping the same God despite that... no, that's not biblical Christianity.

'But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed' Gal 1 v 9.

We can preach biblical Christianity, or we can preach a lie. I'm sorry if you interpreted my robust attack on Islam as hate - I'd like to think that isn't my motive but rather my approach comes from an unwillingness to call a spade "a team designed combination of a shaft of wood and a piece of metal shaped to form a flat bit on which matter can be held from when it has been removed from the ground until it reaches its final destination".
