Even if one views death as a very long trip and the beginning of an enforced absence, there are still reasons for tears. Last winter, a young man my friend and I had come to love had to leave and travel many thousands of miles away from us - not knowing when he might be able to return. All of us shed tears even though we knew we would almost certainly see one another again at some point in our lives. |
