Hi Ben That is some sad news. I guess I know a little about how you are feeling right now because just last year, as a result of all the trouble I found myself in, my own young friend moved away and I doubt that I will be able to find him again very easily. He was 18, he and I had been very close friends since he was 9 years old. I miss him every day still because I had grown to love him so much. It is true that even though a boy becomes older than one's AOA, the love is still just as strong, in fact it gets stronger. Anyway, Ben, I want you to know that I feel your hurt. And I know that it will probably take some time to get over the initial shock in losing a dear friend. But with God you can go on and it will get better in time. There is a great saying in A.A. that has helped me get through most of lifes dissapointments and setbacks. It is,"...And this too shall pass!". I don't know who gave us that bit of wisdom but it sure has helped me in some fairly tough times. Also, I will keep you in my prayers as well, brother. In Christ's Love, Chris |
