One Small Step......

Hi Everyone Today my P.O. came over for a brief visit and I would like to tell everyone here about what happened because I think it is actually a good thing; even though it might not look that way at first. I believe it will be a very good thing for us as a whole. I have not said anything about this before because I wanted to see if it were going to actually work before I mentioned it. Besides that, it is about the up and comming conferance and we must also maintain a certain degree of anonymity about the possable location of it to the general public. But I was trying very hard to see if it could be held here in my own home town. This presented a few big problems, however, because I needed to talk with my pastor about it (which was really no problem), but then I also had to get the ok from my probation officer. Well, I just talked with him today and he advised me that it would not be a good idea and he very strongly suggested against it. So I am going to go along with his decision. But I am not dissapointed by this, in fact, I feel that I have actually won a major victory for myself AND for all of us who are struggling as Christian B.L.'s. I have been able to achieve a large amount of trust in quite a few people who know about me. My pastor (who is just incredible!), the folks I work for, and now I can see this trust has become very strong between myself and a man whom I previously believed it impossable. He told me that he does believe in me and he trusts me. This, my friends, is a MAJOR achievement, and I give all the credit to God! So, even though I am a little dissapointed in the innitial outcome, I am just elated in what God has done in my life in this way. And, as I credit God for this "small step" for me, I am now thanking Him for what I believe is a "Great Step" for all of us. Trust is a VERY precious commodity!!! Love in Christ Jesus, Chris |
