Hey Mark,

I think I might add something to your statement about Jesus' "bad theology".

Of course, our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ did not have bad theology (and I know you already know this very well!) but because the things He taught always went contrary to the things this world believes as truth, his teaching can look wrong or backward.

You know, when a person is not born again but is of this world, he has no other choice BUT to see everything the way a fallen world see's it. The way a child of God should look at everything SHOULD be the same way God does. I have given this kind of thinking a lot of though lately, believe it or not. It seems to me that a person can actually, pretty much take the wordly veiw of anything at all and, by turning it around and looking at it "backward" or "upside down", he can get an accurate picture of God's perspective.

I like examples like you have given and there are many more where those came from. Ideas like forgiving everyone who wrongs you, or becoming the least in the Kingdom to be the greatest. Even attitudes that the world would laugh at are a large part of the way Jesus lived and taught us to live, like humility, trust in the Father for our daily needs and concerns, and loving one's enemy (and there are many, many more where those came from). These are the kind of things that our very faith is centered on and they greatly define who and what we are. They paint a picture of exactly what a "Child of God" is supposed to "look" like. It's just too bad that this kind of Christianity is so often being replaced by garbage that the fallen world likes or is accustomed to seeing.

I think we can all get much out of a continual study in who and what we REALLY are!

Love in Christ,
Chris
