I've read all the posts and still can't determine where cy9 is coming from or what he wants. Let me try to add my own take on the subject. As I understand it, this board is mainly for (but not exclusively for) adult Christian men who are sexually and/or emotionally attracted to minor boys. And yes, I am one of those. Most people call us pedophiles, which is a correct term. But because of the way the media has used the word pedophile as if it means child molester (it does not) many pedophiles have chosen to use the word boylover since it sounds less threatening. SOME pedophiles molest children, but far from all. There are more pedophiles in this world than you or anyone else could possibly imagine, but you don't know about most because they don't molest and make the news. The vast majority (yes I said the VAST MAJORITY) of pedophiles don't molest. Many believe it to be wrong, some think it's ok if the child consents but refrain for legal or other reasons, and a few follow their desires and don't give a damn. But the main thing this board does for me and others, is it let's us know it's possible to be both Christian and pedophile. One of the goals of this board and others like it is to let people know that it isn't inevitable that if you are a pedophile, then you must be a molester. That simply isn't true. What I, and others would like to see is for people to judge us by what we DO, not what we ARE. No one can control who they are attracted to, only how they respond to that desire. Dakota |
