Hi Jules,

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy being back in here again and being able to be a part of this forum. It is the best part of my day to be able to read some of the very fine posts that have been gracing our sanctuary lately, and I treasure all of my friends and brothers here!

You know, I kind of got two differant ideas going with my last post. Andy and I started talking about the subject of sin in the life of a Christian and then wound up discussing the possability of perfection being attainable in this lifetime. Well, those are actually two very different subjects and the one I wrote about yesterday was the one regarding sin.

I have read "Victory Over Darkness" by Neil T. Anderson. In fact, I have actually read it a few times now because the book was given to me while I was in jail last winter. I like it and I would have to say that I do agree with most of Mr. Anderson's ideas as well. I like any Christian author who is into the importance of identity. And I am VERY glad to read that you are too! You know, Jules, I honestly cannot think of anything else that would or could hold as much importance in our growth and maturity in Christ. In fact, I believe that identity is probably the number one key to unlocking all of our potential as Christians! And I can say this with a lot of conviction and confidense because it certainly has been greatly instramental in my own life with Christ. (And of course I do not say this to brag about myself, but rather, to brag about the One who is my source of power, my Father in Heaven.)

I have found that the more I know about what God's Word says about me, the more I can believe it and live according to those beliefs, the better my walk with God is and the closer I feel to Him. And here is something else I have tried that goes right along with this. I have also found it to be VERY beneficial to have the best and most scriptural "picture" of what God is as well. He really is the very perfect example of a Father and friend and teacher and....etc... You know what I am saying. In fact, I think it is of utmost importance if we plan to get anywhere with our faith.

Far, far too many people have this "image" of God that is negative or otherwise less than the truth about Him. God is loving, carring, and kind. I know this very, very well in my own life and it has made a big differance in my faith and in the way I approach most, if not all, situations. Now I can say that I believe it in my heart, but the best way I have found to get it there has been to just start reffering to God as my Father and also keep putting descriptive words in front of "Father" like "Beloved" or always include ideas like His forgiveness in my life and love for me whenever I think about Him at all. It works very well in a short period of time, believe it or not.

My friend, I must go for now. I shall return, perhaps tomorrow. God Bless you, Jules, I love you brother!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
