Who defines what abuse is?

There is DEFINATELY a need to support and protect children who are exposed to abusive situations, and I respect those who labor in that area.

Who will define what abuse is; society or the child?

I have read accounts by children who have been abused, testifying that they thought their abuse was normal.

A child's judgement of what is abusive may not be as reliable as society's judgement.
