Hi Splash, Now you have me wondering what negative effects you are talking about. Aside from the possibility of catching a disease, what negative effects are there which are not societally imposed? Shame, fear, secrecy, self-doubt - all imposed by society. (I am assuming a case where a well-informed boy of an appropriate age initiates some interaction which he obviously wants.) As I said, I too agree with Dakota's stance, but for a different reason. Social reaction is the only realistic danger that I see. (And that is reason enough!) BTW, I have yet to resolve for myself how I interprete Scripture on the topic.... I haven't got that far. See my response to Forgiven above for my poor attempt to cite research. Peace, Nate |
