Who is ignorant? Her Majesty Elizabeth II is the queen of the Commonwealth of Great Britain. Canada itself does not have a queen. We have a governor-general who acts as a representative of the Crown, the Hon. Adrienne Clarkson. There are also lieutenants-governors in the provinces, who also represent the Crown, as Her Majesty would soon develop carpal-tunnel syndrome from signing all the bills that are passed into law here. We address her as the Queen because she is the head of State of the country to whose commonwealth we belong. Perhaps one might tend to put a foot-guard over one's mouth before speaking? And secondly, I have not pre-judged pedophelia. I react to it based on a faithful reading of the Bible, something this group seems not to be interested in doing. So I would invite you to take the ignorant and bigoted (one "t", thanks) comment and kindly apply it to yourself, since my final authority for faith and practice is the Bible. Your standard is yourself, and anything you want to do, you do without any scrutiny. So who really is the bigoted one here? |
