I wouldn't connect it specifically to boylove since it seems to happen to a lot of different people and their many relationships with other people. With me it has happened between my close girlfriends, my mother, and certain boys in my life. I don't think I've ever had a boy tell me he was feeling it at the same time, but I've had girlfriends say that. Also, it happens a lot at work when I have to call someone I haven't talked to in a couple weeks, "Funny you should call, I was just thinking of you this moment." With boylovers, I think a lot of our thought life revolves around certain boys, so it wouldn't surprise me that this would happen quite often between one of us and a particular boy. One weird example from my own life used to be that whenever my YF (who I was mentoring at the time) got in bad trouble (his mother had been yelling at him or may have just given him a spanking), I'd get a very weird feeling in my stomach that I should call him, and his mother started saying, "I knew you were going to call! He just got in trouble again." And then she'd hand the phone to him and I'd talk to him about it. Who knows, maybe it was God who was using me at those certain points in his life? Nevertheless, a connection did exist. I knew him for 7 years, and I was able to discern those feelings very well. If he was out with friends during the evening, and I got that weird feeling in my stomach, I started making phone calls and went looking for him. He was almost always up to no good at those times. My reasoning at the time was that God was allowing me to catch him red-handed so I could discuss these things with him and how it pertained to him being a Christian in the world (not of it). Splash |
