It's encouraging to know that the Lord is able to use me (even me) in this way. It's amazing that, isn't it. The Lord will choose to use whoever He pleases, the only requirement is that they're available to Him at the time. Often I've been told by Pastors or others that I am "unqualified" to be in a given situation, or that I shouldn't be there because of a past relationship with that person or whatever. And as often, I have found incredible blessing by being available and doing as the Lord instructs (well, mostly :-) I think the biggest effect I had was at my old church, after I was released from prison (most people knew I was inside and why, and knew me well enough to know my voice). There was a time for public thanks, and I was given a prayer to say - "Thank you Lord, that even someone like me can come to you". Don't let anyone prevent you from being of service to the Lord. If He says go, then go! (But please confirm the orders first - the enemy loves to give false orders! :-) God Bless.. |
