Hi Billy, Clearly God requires us to love one another and to live in unity. To love those in church we'd have to go among them. I can not prove it to you since you don't believe the Bible is God-breathed, though. The Bible does tell us that we need to forgive as we've been forgiven and we need to love one another. It also shows that God's people are to gather together often to encourage one another-- to spur one another on to love and good deeds. If you don't trust the Bible to speak the truth to you then you will have to decide what is good using some other guide. I don't know how you can tell what God does or doesn't require in that case. I'm surely not smart enough or holy enough to plumb his mind, but maybe you know something I don't. sally paraklesis.com |
