The churches of today are much like the church at Laodicea described in the third chapter of Revelation. The chapter concludes by Christ saying, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

As there was no room for Him at the Inn, there is no room for Him in the church either. The churches are so full of the traditions of men, man-made doctrines and judgemental hypocrisy that He can't get in. He must live in each individual heart. If we allow these things to crowd our hearts, there will be no room for him in us, either.

No matter what church we decide to attend, it is up to us, as individuals, to follow the teachings of Jesus. Only then will he get back into the church, and be able to dwell within our hearts.

I

Lord, let me live from day to day

In such a self-forgetful way;

That even when I kneel to pray,

My prayer shall be for others.

Others, Lord, yes others;

Let this my motto be.

Lord, let me live for others,

That I may live like thee.

Lord, when my time on Earth is gone,

And my new work in Heaven's begun;

May I forget the crown I've won,

Still thinking, Lord, of others.

Cho.

Others, Lord, yes others;

Let this my motto be.

Lord, let me live for others,

That I may live like thee.
