God's Family

Hi Brothers, I did something this weekend that has just touched my heart and soul, and has confirmed for me the absolute need for me to continue to attend my church and stay within the fellowship of God's family. I have never been much of a church-goer for any length of time because regardless of any denominational church I am attending, I can always find something about it I do not like. I went to a Kiononia weekend retreat this last friday, saterday and sunday. It is something that the Catholic church is doing now. It was one of the most spiritual events I have ever been a part of. And it showed me that we do indeed NEED all of God's family that exists around us, regardless of whether or not we might happen to agree with all of thier views or accept everything they do. We do not need them for thier viewpoints or doctrine, we need them for the love and fellowship that comes from being involved with them. And they need us for the very same reason. We MUST be Jesus Christ for one another out of unconditional love, the same way He was what He was for us while He walked this earth and is for us now that He lives within us. We are going to have our own "retreat"....actually a conferance, coming up very soon and I am going to be there. God will find a way for this to happen I am sure. I will be looking forward to sharing a fellowship with our own church and I hope and pray that many of you, my brothers, will also be there as well! Let's share our joy in Jesus Christ together!!!
