Boy Moments, one for prayer and another to love...

Hi Everyone, I too have a couple of moments to share. One is not so happy, and I would like to ask for your prayers. I have a friend who has a young friend. He is the same person I wrote about in my latest article in Paraklesis called,"Of Blessing and Hope". Well, last night My friend ran into the store looking for me to tell me some sad news and ask for my prayers. His young friend had to be taken to the hospital last night because he is very, very sick. He has been throwing up continually and has become dangerously dehidrated. I do not know how he is doing yet, today, but I will know later on this afternoon. Please help me in prayers for this young one, brothers, he has the most beautiful heart and spirit I have ever seen in a child. He just loves everyone he meets and always say's "Hi" to me with a huge smile and deep joy of the kind that only God can give a person in the kind of circumstances this boy is experiencing in his life. But he needs our prayers now. Another moment happened that same night that put some sunshine in my heart, I hope it will with all of you as well. A young mom came into the store with her two sons. One was about 11 and the other, his brother, about 7. I heard her call the younger one Isaac and I just had to look up. I just love that name....he is one of my favorite people in the Bible! And I continued to hear her say, "Isaac" through-out the store as she tried to do her shopping and watch her sons at the same time (a very difficult trick that some are good at but noone has yet completely mastered, I think...). So, a little later I was called up to the cash register and who was there? It was Isaac, his mom and brother, with thier groceries. As I did my job checking her groceries, I just had to tell her that I loved her son's name, and why I loved it so much. She just beamed with joy and told me that it was his older brother (the 11 year old) who had named him! What a great thing! Emagine the closeness and love those two will share with each other all thier lives. I see God's hand in the lives of that family so clearly!!! It makes my heart sing! Praise God!!! So God does give joy to counter the sorrow we meet daily when we look for it!!! This time I didn't have to look very far. Love in Christ Jesus, Chris (Chambers-King)...(my new "pen name...) |
