Sorry I've been slow in responding... busy week.

Is the resolution you seek one between the differences of style in Jesus and Paul, or in Jesus and yourself?

Maybe its just my reading of the Gospels, but I see Jesus as much more of an inward person than Paul. That could also be a personality thing, I suppose. I think both are true - I seek to resolve the sin in my life, so that I can transform myself to be more truly like Jesus. Of course, that is the path of every Christian.

Yes, style and personality are parts of who we are created to be, in His image. The mystery is where we are human, and when we tend towards the divine. Where is the Holy Spirit at work in us, and where are we straying...

I liked your comment:
I believe with all my heart that when we become a child of God, He does not wish us to lose those qualities of our personality which make us different form everyone else, but instead has a way of using them for His own good purposes and plan.

Jesus is our divine example of what God wills for our lives. Paul is the human working out of that example. Each has their own style, as each Christian embodies the Christian "lifestyle" in his or her own way. I guess as long as we keep "glorfying God" before us, we will continue to tend towards His way, and seek to do His will.

Peace of Christ,
Bach
